It would be worth mentioning here that anyone who has three weapons should at least try to find out if one of them qualifies as a curio. At least you'd be able to hang on to it that way.

For this one has to get the firearm punctured and get the certificate of its non functionable from any armer n again permission to keep this as wall hanging depend on the mercy of authority. Is there any possibal way out to keep all the 3 weapons, as govt is asking to deposit it free of cost n I am pretty sure that most of these gun would be in authority's hand ( name) without any efforts. Remain in home n be safe.. Cheers n regards

No, the clause you are referring to is listed as "deactivation" and not curio in arms rule 2016. Curios do not need to be mutilated for possession and can be kept in functional state without a license in as many quantities as desired.

You cannot purchase ammunition for a curio though, nor can you take it out of your house.

Check section 2 (ii) (b) of - http://egazette.nic.in/WriteReadData/2020/216103.pdf

However, I cannot find any info on how arms are to be classified as curios. Is an official body supposed to inspect a weapon and then issue a certificate declaring it as a curio? Or can we just possess a curio without needing to declare anything to the authorities? If anyone knows more on this, please do post.

The new arms act permits 2 weapons. What the gentlemen are refering here is from the Bill which was tabled In the parliament.
The bill has been amended and now it has two weapon keeping provision.

Where ever disarmament was done

that nations suffered a lot

first it was done in germany it fell to nazis

then england it feel to communists and socialists

now tis out turn..

from times of auragzeb not only the arms were banned for non peacefools but horses and other signs of might an valour were also prohibited .

the bureaucrats and remains of nasheduvian league are behind this bullshit
If you want peace ; you have to be prepared for war.....

The law currently says 2 firearms per license, I just got my 2nd additional weapon endorsed into the existing license.

lets collectively oppose this in courts if need be

lets also raise funds to do the above

govind
Yes, this needs to be opposed. 90% of criminals do no use registered firearms, I wonder what does the govt. imply to reduce the recorded weapons held by individuals and what facts makes them reach such conclusions.

This isn't going to stop anything bad from happening. We really need to come together against this.

Because there are broadly 3 types of weapons.. Shot gun, hand gun and rifle having different applicability.
