Let's do something as it has sentimental impact on genuine gun lovers. At the end of it we pay huge amount to govt exchequer in order to keep possessing them.

The indiatoday feed (https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/p ... 2-09#50144) says that the bill removes semi-automatic weapons from public domain. Wasn't that kind of already in effect? Also, will this apply to the 2016 amendment that made semi-auto shotguns permissible?

So, will the govt pay for all those weapons that will be deposited with them? If so, then how much? I am guessing they will offer what they think is fair, if at all?

No as far as I have heard NO compensation will be paid for surrendering the weapons.

Does anyone have the copy of the Arms Amendment (including the exemption for sports shooters)? It is still not yet clear the number of weapons exempted and criteria of Sports Shooters.

Individuals will be allowed to sell their weapons to other license holders or arms dealers.
