All the best Reddick. Seems strange. My two cents---call up NRAI and ask for Mr. Pathak...Tell him the issue...I am not sure but I think, he may guide you. I am not a member of NRAI, but I wanted to join. So, i called up, and the lady who answered the phone, connected me to someone, who told me that Mr. Pathak is the main person regarding membership queries. I am not sure at all, just a random thought, which may prove helpful.

All the best again.

Regards,

PShome

Dear Reddick,

its normal they say application pending for approval, they will submit your application in their meeting and i assume its just a formality and the membership will be granted, as Mr. Shome informed Mr. Pathak is a very gentle man and will support, you may contact him via phone or email, good luck for the membership

Thanks

***Happy to help ****

Congratulations, Reddick. I think you can get an additional .22 calibre rifle and also discounts on ammo and firearms sold by the NRAI.

So , do I have to visit at NRAI in Delhi for the stuff or at some other place?
One more thing , I have only Punjab state license. So in what terms my NRAI membership can help me in acquiring All India Arms Licence?
Thanks Again 🙏

Hi,

Congratulations on your membership.

Far as I know, one has to buy stuff physically from their facility.

For AIP, the authorities may take a lenient view, if you obtain Minimum Qualifying Score at state-level competitions (largely restricted to 0.22) and also only for Sports Quota license.

Best approach would probably be to directly address your queries to the folks at NRAI.

Hope it helps.

Regards.

No, unfortunately. However, your ammo quota does go up substantially. You can check the same here -http://egazette.nic.in/WriteReadData/2020/216103.pdf

Your total weapon quota does go up if you become a renowned shot. Total weapons renowned shots can own are now 12 sporting weapons plus 2 that they are entitled to as citizens, so, total possessable firearms will be 14. Full release here - https://pib.gov.in/newsite/PrintRelease ... lid=199524

Prior to the latest amendment, one could keep three licensed guns and an additional .22 calibre rifle, if one were an NRAI member. Now, one can keep two licensed firearms+ a .22 calibre rifle, if one is an NRAI member. .
