So how does one shoot if he wants to learn/ doesnt have his own gun/license.

if one gets his own gun with a permit of 50/yr he gets 1 round of DT/yr 1.5 rounds of trap or 2 rounds of skeet/yr provided there is no misfire in iof ammo.

As i have mentioned in my other posts, this isnt exactly good news.
this range is made by the govt. for the people; of course they cant stop us, its our right to use it. but facilities????
all i can gather from the letter is that the facility being provided is that a key will be provided to open the door to the range.

Great!!
sorry to sound like a spoilsport but what exactly are we getting all exited about?

I suppose thats the only reason to feel happy about.

The reason for my post was that things havent changed!!

I wanted to hold an ifg meet there in 2007 but things didnt work out.

http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=2485

Went there in 2008 when it was fully functional. was told to come with own ammo and gun. I told them that i didnt have a license but wanted to practice but no joy. Sat back and saw others shooting. There were some "officials" who looked like babus in a sarkari office. I was told they were the people to talk to if i wanted to shoot. No joy again.
Since I thought I knew a few people there, I made a few phone calls was assured I can shoot there. Went there.. was told i could be provided with a gun but no ammo. I asked how can one shoot without ammo.... no one had any answers.

:deadhorse: :deadhorse:

Now they are essentially saying the same thing but in a nicely worded email. People who have their own guns and ammo can have a shoot but for a person who wants to learn, to start off shooting, Jaipur is not the place. There is no "pay and play" system there.

Being public property, one shouldnt need an invitation to go and shoot there.
