Nothing personal yaar.. You just can't accuse a whole nation and its all law abiding responsible gun owners in a pro gun forum, just because of a single exception by some maniac

Hi Guys if all you good folks say so then you are all right I stand corrected but you all must agree there is no need to take things very personal one can express his views in a more gentle manner .

That guy went to jail for irresponsible behaviour with a firearm.Deserves it.
In the US, law enforcement is as stringent as the comparitive ease of getting a gun.
Lets not even compare the freedom to own firearms between US and India...

This news was there on the Bangalore times today and as always my wife (anti-gun as many other women) started blaming the guns. Incidentally I was reading news of a drunken husband murdering his wife with a pair of scissors.

Man.. after that followed a half an hour of pro-gun gyan and looks like I won't have gun debates from now on in my house..

How the hell did a pyscho like that get a gun in the first place?

The level of lonliness of older folk in western countries has to be seen to be believed.Sure the guy had a couple of beers, or had an argument with his credit card co/wife/dentist, went out to mow the lawn, mower wont start, he snapped and let off a couple of shots to vent his frustration.Atleast he took iy out on the inanimate lawnboy, not his wife or neighbour. No defense for an irresponsible act, though.

My office cum warehouse is a 500 sq. yds. hall on the first floor. we have a 3 ft. balcony running the entre length of the floor and it overlooks a huge huge leafy tree. I sometimes use my Colt Python Airsoft or my Glock 26 Airsoft to shoot at specific leaves on the tree as target practice (about 15ft across) and honestly used to think I'm crazy to have such a target.....my faith in my sanity is restored! There are crazier people on this planet...hallelujah!!!

Airsoft or powder burner-do you have a decent/safe backstop? SAFETY first

He mentioned "airsoft", so the BB's used are those plastic ones...

By backstop I gather you're referring to some thing to block the pellet/bb on it's way out of the target....well the tree I'm talking about is at one end of a barren piece of land about a 100yds wide....empty and useless like a Walther Cp99 without a co2 powerlet! he he

I'm hoping he remembers its a 177, and not a airsoft when he tries leaf popping a (fig) leaf else where?
