Guns from terrorists go to punjab politicians, bureaucrats

Post by shutzen » Fri Dec 07, 2007 9:45 pm

HI! Chk out the story on the links below. The babucracy and the politicians are blatantly looting the public property. These siezed arms should actually be auctioned and not alloted for a song to the babus....

Shutzen,

This is exactly the approach that should change. The 'Market price's' for these firearms are nothing but extortionist. What is required is that every Indian should be able to buy firearms at these prices.Perhaps for less.Firearms are ,or should not be a 'valuable' possession(with some exceptions off course).

Shutzen,

This is not something new,re issuing captured firearms has been happening since the late 80's IIRC.The

place where the firearms were being issued from was the Phillaur Armoury at the Police Training School, albeit

these days people are paying 10x of what they were paying in the early 90's.The forms for the requisition

used to be available in the DM's off.

Compared to the above our MP's and MLA's have a field day getting fire arms from the Customs Armoury for

a few hundred bucks, and these are NIB.
