Thank you penpusher,

A very informative yet SCARY piece, and why i say scary is that we in our country have no idea that how many fire arms that people own are unsafe !!!

1.There are old guns, rifles , handguns etc some close to 100 yrs old .

2.Then there are the firearms that have been butchered by the so called, self styled, gunsmiths. Sometimes even a "new" indian made shot gun can malfunction lethally.

3.There is a lack of knowledge amongst the masses about gun care and firearm safety.

4. Above all some people have a "unique" way of showing their happiness at functions/festivals/weddings etc after some C2H5OH down their gullet.

So as the article identifies some of the firearms with a manufacturing defect, the problem in our country is multifocal.

Best,

RP.
It's always better to have a gun and not need it than need a gun and not have it !
