Arms prices in India

Post by Pyzik » Tue Feb 02, 2010 7:37 pm

Fallowed a link in the thread "India makes the world's worst guns" and saw the price of a standard .32 caliber revolver... That is amazing. It got me to looking into other arms and the relative prices here in America.

An IOF .32 semi-auto pistol runs Rs. 73,661 ($1591.37 USD) after taxes.
A similar American made pistol in .32 would be something like this http://www.kel-tec-cnc.com/p32.htm , roughly $337.08 USD (Rs. 15602.70).
In America, a collectors piece in .32 would go for that much.

It is sad to see, I hope that things are turn in favor of common citizens in your country.

That's what we are also hoping for. :)

Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.
