Customs is very gentle and humble now..they are clearing it with a rifle club membership and a letter from the club.
Sometimes if you want to get rid of the gun, you have to pick the gun up.

Thanks for the clarification.

FedEx has only 3 import ports for couriers apparently - Mumbai, Delhi & Bangalore for South India.

I got to order something real quick! Wondering what to?

Ebenezer,
I'm Joshua, Chennai. I wanna know if importing airsoft guns thru courier without rifle club membership (as i have none) is possible ? I'm ready to pay the duty, if it is allowed.

Hi Joshua,

One of our IFG members here from Chennai, but from a district rifle club imported an airsoft gun from abroad. It was confiscated at the Chennai airport. Some sites like pyramydair dont even ship them to India.
Rgds,

Thanks for your quick reply indeed !
This whole exercise of confiscation and/or clearing is based on luck(ours),mood and interpretation of the customs officials ?! I mean, if one's lucky his gun gets cleared or otherwise ?
I'm only planning to get an air pistol, that too mostly a springer.
Your thoughts ?

I have imported benjamin NP Trail XP 1500 from pyramidair, the gun is lying in custom from last 10 days, submitted all required documents but still FEDEX is simply saying it is still to get clear from custom...no idea what should my next step.
