The following are still not clear...
1) What are TNT charges for doing custom clearance on your behalf?
2) What documents need to be submitted to TNT so that get the gun cleared?

Rahul,

If you got the UK prices from www.airgunbuyer.com - these are inclusive of 17.5% VAT, which they would waive on export orders (exports attract no VAT). That should bring down the price somewhat...

Cheers!

thanks for the info Abhijit. This is didnt knew.
Unfortunately, the UK stores that have IZH-46M are not sending it to India, and BAR does not have IZH-46M...
Well I am still looking for a UK store that has IZH-46M and sends it to India.

Any specific reason for a UK store only ?

1) It varies depending upon the nature of work involved but is not an amount to affect your budget.

2) That would be usually a copy of the invoice in case the shipper did not include it with the shipment. And in your case, a copy of the Rifle Club membership might be asked.

Not only TNT but every major courier company provides customs clearance service.

Nothing specific but I want to have a choice of ordering it either from UK or US store so as to make sure that I do not loose out on VAT savings as pointed out by Abhijit.

Tf they are going to ask membership of Rifle Club then its again more monery for getting that membership.

I was hoping to do away with Dwarka Shooting Club membership...and save some money.

The price shown in US websites is final. There won't be any VAT refund.

Why don't you try www.mac1airgun.com ?

What do you mean by this ? Renouncing membership of a shooting club ?

You can buy it from here. Send them an email to receive a quote.

No No. Not renouncing membership of Dwarka Shooting Club...

What I meant was that if I am asked to submit proof of club membership then I would like to use membership of Dwarka Shooting Club rather than taking membrship of any national/state/district rifle association. As doing so will cost me additional money.

Even these guys seem to stock a range of Baikal airguns... Including the IZH-46/46M that you are interested in.

You can contact them and ask if they'll ship to India.

Cheers!

Thank you folks for the help. I am working on it.

Can anybody provide inputs on my plans of...
using membership of Dwarka Shooting Club rather than taking membrship of any national/state/district rifle association...

Will this work...any thoughts...
