Dear Dutta,
As per my understanding the hinge part & the cylinder attached upon threads.
IHP used to do knurling to strengthen the joint.
SDB used to use crimp the joint area( Your first two pics.) to strengthen the joint.I think that is somewhat better than knurling in respect of reliability.
Refer to your last picture (without crimp) where two parts after being threaded and attached , electrode welding is done then turned on lathe to avoid crimp.
The later process is time taking and costlier but improves asthetics.
You have rightly pointed out that it has nothing to do with performance as such.

Basu
Thank you sir for your insight. If I choose Xena then I must choose the design like the first two pics. Hmm... I wonder why SDB would produce two differently finished models. Anyway, thanks again!

Dear Chetan,
SDB barrels are having 12 grooves/riflings.
Anyone peeps through the bore can see it.
Smooth bore can not keep the pellet straight for longer time.
Clean round holes are made by rifled barrel where as pellets fired from smooth bore makes key holes.

I didn't get chance to shoot Xena yet but got a chance to shoot Athena , my guess on whatever reviews I have seen on both and heared n talked about comparison

Xena + points .. superior trigger , excellent wooden stalk ,bit more power , accuracy

NX200Athena +points .... Build quality and better barrel ,accuracy +consistancy

Still waiting to get both of them together to review ....

Thanks for you inputs. So Xena is accurate but not consistent as NX200?

Most important is the barrel for consistant groups ..
As per my knowledge NX200 barrel is bit more better than Xena ...thay a bit more I said and I may be wrong as I didnt get chance to shoot Xena ..

As per the reviews and discussions I had ,seen .. that little difference should give Nx200 the advantage is what I feel ..I may be wrong but face to face comparison is what we need between both :)

Xena is definitely better in trigger and stalk , power department !!

Basically if you shoot too much and groups are more of your way of shooting NX200 may give better results ..
Cheers

I have attached a screenshot from the same shooter's video of NX200. He used his middle finger to measure the grouping of Xena, and to me this group sure looks wider than his finger. I fail to understand why Xena got the reputation of inconsistent/ bad barrel from him even after this. I
understand that some pellets are a tight fit in Xena, but that doesn't mean that it will not shoot straight .

And here are a few groups I shot offhand at 18m with Xena. All of the groups measure 15mm or less ctc. Xena is very much capable of consistent accuracy.

Thanks Sam, Pravin for your valuable input on this topic. Hopefully someone will do truthful review of both guns from 50 yards. That will clear lot of doubt for users like me.

Hopefully that will also allow me to make decision which one to buy as my first AR.

Hi ,

Another review of Xene vs Nx200 together ,

But 3 shot group and just one group doesn't validate the accuracy & consistancy for me atleast ..

Cheers ,
Pravin

I considered the above grouping of Xena as no grouping at all.
This is in sharpe contrast with the grouping given below at much higher distance of Xena :

At almost same distance the following :

I infer, in view to your video that there are factors which were terribly wrong.
