Need help - Send airgun by domestic courier

Hi folks,

Please help me with, what all things to take care while sending airgun by domestic courier.

I am going to do it first time. Information looking specifically on legal implications, how to pack, usual cost, any lessons learned etc...

where r u located...try to get in touch with GATI, reasonable pricing with tracking .i used their service,get in touch with the local office,i guess they dont mind carring airguns with declaration for not being a firearm and an invoice.

3-4 layers of bubble wrap
then cardboard/carton material
finally enclose in last, strong packing.If you can fill up the remaining area /empty space in final carton with polystyrene balls or similar stuff, will prevent shake rattle roll.Gun should fit snug in the container, with no space to rattle around.

Hi Sanjiv, a declaration can be given stating that it is not a firearm but how can one procure an invoice if it is an old weapon.
Is there an alternative or is this the thumb rule?

incase it was really required for an old airrifle,i guess a self invoice to acertain the present value can suffice.

,.and they do ship airguns with relevant declaration.
