why is my baikal blasting air on its own

Post by dev » Thu Nov 09, 2006 12:19 pm

To those that know. After 40 or 45 pellets this always happens you pump in the air, insert pellet and lower the loading gate (for want of a better term ) and the air goes bang. The pellet stays behind but it is very un nerving. Pump air again and it functions like before all over? Any clues to what is happening?

Probably not engaging the trigger sear sufficiently thereby making it very hair triggerish. Just a guess, don't know for sure.

I suspect this, but I am not sure...I will increase the pressure on the sear adjustment and then see if it heals.

P.S. qB shot one hole group at 8m. Put in five pellets in the same hole about the size of the air pistol target bull. Was just shooting with supporting hand elbow on glass table. Will do a long range test and report.
