my wife's Walther ALutech.177 now at Delhi foreign post office, she has only letter from state rifle association and no membership card, today they refused to release her rifle. Any suggestions, besides kiss your rifle goodbye, or real help to resolve this situation will be appreciated.

she got it without a rifle club membership?

What i know about the scopes is that if ur scope is mounted on the gun then it might be a problem but if packed in a other suitcase will go smoothly. My frnd bought a scope but not a gun and was easily through without any customs and confitication

I was not there, I think she got some membership or other documents. Shimon helped her with it. For sure Delhi FPO very strict and if you do exactly how it is described here you may safe some time and headache.

dont even think about it, without having membership card of rifle association or club you cant import it.

this rifle shooting in 10ths right from the box. 600 shots per cylinder.

King,

I think you are mixing two things here. You do not need a club membership when you are getting it as a part of personal baggage.

You need to have a membership when you are getting it via post.

nothing new, but till she not submitted all documents written exactly in same manner as it is described here they refused to release the rifle. So, to safe your time and prevent brain damage - only import when your are ready
