Hi Rottlord,
Hey, Ravi, consent alone isn't going to cut the cheese. We need to open a bank account or keep the money with the MOD(s) so that it can be utilized when there's a need. Donation means consent but consent is certainly not donation always.
I am ready to put in money and understand few other members will do the same but do you think, when we file a PIL which is supported only by few people the court will consider it. We are talking about changing the LAW and that will happen only when it is backed by good number of people (Quantity) from different states. Atleast then we might stand a decent chance to be heard or else will be thrashed in no time :deadhorse:

Ravi, talk to Lawman regarding this; he can be of substantial help. But one thing is for sure, all who will be participating must be shooting club members.

Would be better if we had a headcount.
True we need mass support.
Till some one takes a initiative nothing will move.

Sujay, regarding the antics of TGG members,i am a new member no doubt, didnt i say, differences apart.
What is important is the cause not the pause between the two groups.

Firstly, please define what kind of support you need; financial, logistical, administrative, management? Do you have some sort of a plan to go about the business?

I am willing to provide financial support if I see and agree with the plans. I can also help out with Govt. and Legal issues strictly on a "when I have time" basis, this is no sort of guarantee from me.

It's great to see that you are ready to support the Cause. Please cast your vote at, http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7342 .Once, we have a good number of people supporting the cause, then only we shall be able to design a road map with the help of the MODS. which shall be shared with all the members. Hope to see your YES on the above link.

AMK,

Guns should be a passion instead of being just a pastime or a diversion.

I've realised in our country with all the laws; "passion" and "gun" don't gel well together in the same sentence.

I have serious doubts on this part of your post.
I have been reading this discussion with interest and it sure looks like Sujay is correct.

Here are the "fundamental rights" as codified by the constitution:
http://www.iloveindia.com/constitution- ... ights.html
Here is the link to the rest:
http://www.iloveindia.com/constitution- ... index.html

I can see no mention of the right to keep and bear arms. Additionally almost all the sub clauses can be overruled because of the statements that go something like this:
Nothing in sub-clause (c) of the said clause shall affect the operation of any existing law in so far as it imposes, or prevent the prevent the State from making any law imposing, in the interests of _16[the sovereignty and integrity of India or] public order or morality, reasonable restrictions on the exercise of the right conferred by the said sub-clause
So the firearms control laws appear to be constitutional. The only way that any headway can be made is to actually change the laws. I see nothing that is similar to the second amendment of the US Constitution.

In fact the only mention of arms is in the statement :
To assemble peaceably and without arms;
“Never give in, never give in, never; never; never; never – in nothing, great or small, large or petty – never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense” — Winston Churchill, Oct 29, 1941
