Hi,
I am currently in US. I have a .32 smith & wesson 5 shooter back in India with a valid license. I always wanted to own a Walther. I assume that i cannot bring in a firearm legally as it is against the law. However i am planning to bring in an Air Pist0l. I would appreciate some suggestions on

1. Any customs regulations on carrying one to India
2. Can i get CO2 refills in India for CO2 air pistols

Thanks

hi,

if you are comming back on Transfer of residence than you can bring back one fire armd with you provided you purchased atleast one year ago.

you can bring an air pistol or air gun into india officially. It is allowed as part of you luggage.

Dayanand,

Where are you in the US? If you're in the Chicago area, do get in touch. We have some very nice members here and this may be a good excuse to get together and get some shooting as well.

Cheers,

Mehul

hi rajat.
your saying airguns are allowed as luggage.
i remember asking the customs at mumbai airport about getting an airgun-they refused.

moreover, the customs act doesnt allow a firearm to be imported by tourists going abroad.

anyone here got a firearm from us?
