There is not that big a difference between .45ACP ammo and .32ACP ammo. Infact comparing apples to apples,you can easily get about 5 .45ACP cartridges for the price of one imported .32ACP cartridge.

A Glock in .45 fetches more money than Beretta Cheetah in .32 acp in India.

In a business point of view whatever fetches more money makes sense also may be it makes sense to import .45acp as we have very low ammo quote on licenses but it you need intend to shoot a reasonable amount then it makes sense import the calibers for which ammo is easily available at reasonable prices.
