That is great news for sure! (y)

I hope that this can be used as a legal precedent for other cases as also when faced with denial from ignorant babus! 8)

It's highly unusual for the court to order that a licence be issued.

Usually they tell the licensing authority to reconsider the application of the plaintiff, in light of what has been presented before the court.

This makes this something of a landmark judgement.

If similar judgment can be acquired from Supreme Court it would be a binding precedent on every authority throughout the country. .

This was very much needed. It may help others to put up a Petition in court.

A PIL encompassing all the issues being faced by legitimate gun owners of the country may prove to be fruitful . At least thst looks like the only ray of hope because the RKBA people do not fit into criterion like " garib " " berozgar " " minority " "refugee " " public justice " " social good " etc so no political people will be seriously interested to play with or drop some favourable sound bytes . And also , the law is so carefully crafted that a person of influence or money would have his way so again no need to interfere in Arms laws .

The social consciousness in India has taken a shape to never look favourably to a person carrying or wishing to carry a hun .

This must be a good eyeopener , for many licencing authorities.A boon for many legitimate arms licence applicants.

Wow! Simply outstanding! I wonder if IFG can use this to its advantage - light a fire under other courts - thoughts?
