Re: Coming back after a long time
Very true TC. I got rid of a lot of guns and bought a whole bunch more. Now with the support of my lovely wife, I have a 'gun room" where I can safely display my firearms.
I actually have a couple more that I have not displayed yet.
Thanks for the welcome back.

Well, I am lucky too on the home front.... just that I have to seek permission to carry out day-long projects on Sundays. Sure, you know what I mean.

Re: Coming back after a long time
Thanks Briha and TC.
I am waiting for some parts of the Henry 22 lever action to be refinished and I am refinishing the stock myself. The sights for it are already on hand, Skinner peep sights in Blue steel and brass. The other is a UTAS-15 shotgun, bullpup style, 12 gauge, 14+1 capacity. That is being shipped as we speak. Then have to work on the display pins and rearrange the firearms.
Regarding Sunday day long projects.... that is a sore point with my wife too. But overall its is all good.

What a Coincidence ! I am also working on a similar project ... and much much older than your Henry. Its supposed to be a surprise that I promised to some of the forum members. Just hope to finish in time and put up here.baldabe wrote:Thanks Briha and TC.

Best wishes for both

TC,
Looks like we have very similar tastes. The Skinner sights look very nice. I am looking forward to putting that together. I actually prefer the "cheap" Henry's feel to my much more expensive Browning BL22 which I sold.
Look forward to seeing pictures of your project.

Welcome back baldeb,
A gun room in TO - excellent idea! I especially like the brass that you have used as hand gun supports on the wianscotting.

Yes Baldabe, I think we have very similar taste. Yes, the Henrys, especially the old ones look more period than the Browning lever actions, or the Marlins.baldabe wrote:TC,

Re: Coming back after a long time
Thanks for the comments and welcome CKKALYAN and PRASHANTSINGHJI,
I will take better pictures outdoors later when the weather is better. I am not a very imaginative person when coming to pictures. The brass casings I used as supports are actually 500 S&W empty cartridges.
