Hi All,

That was some serious target shooting. This thread should not be sitting ideal.

Rather it should be one of the prime motives of the forum (if approved by moderators).

Nothing is better than a postal match for promotion AR's.

Whilst I no longer have a match air-pistol, I bought a Precihole Sports SP60 air-pistol last month and would be happy to participate with it.

Revival after 10 years
Yup, I'm game too. Got my hands on a 45 year old match pistol. Rearing to go...

Is it a FWB 65 or 80?

Here's my submission. Range is 9.2 metres instead of the regulation 10 metres.

This air-pistol is crying out for a 2-stage adjustable trigger.

I better get off my butt and add that palm shelf to it.

Getting a better feel for this trigger.

I have also modified my stance. Instead of shoving my non-shooting hand in the pant pocket, I now have it against the small of my back with the forearm tight against the back. Not too tight, mind. The fliers at 3 and 8 o'clock were when I forgot to hold the forearm against my back.

P.S.: This is a pretty unforgiving pistol and would make a good training tool for those who have developed bad habits using the more forgiving precharged and single stroke pneumatics.

Reasonably good groups for a springer. Let's see if I can shoot a target on the weekend. Haven't done air for some years now.
Yeah, let's revive this.

It's the Indian, not the bow and arrow that's screwing things up.

I hadn't shot a pistol of any kind for the past 10 years (sold the Steyr in 2008) and not seriously since 15.

Going to shoot another card after some chai.

@ Mack the Knife- that's excellent grouping for a non comp pistol (y)
I have the SP50 (now discontinued) where the trigger is dead hard. It shoots all over the place if I use the competition shooting stance - find it easier to shoot with the 2 hand hold

I had taken a few shots of the SP50 at a dealer's and I think I even brought it home (dealer's personal pistol) to shoot with and I don't recall it being any worse or better than its successor.

50 or 60, they definitely demand consistency from the shooter, to the minutest level. How hard or loose I hold the grip, where I grip, where I place my trigger finger on the trigger blade, follow through et al. Even the smallest deviation will punish you. Incidentally, it benefits from a moderate pressure grip.

I had bought it as a plinker (what it was designed to be) but now quite enjoy the challenge of shooting it accurately. If I get serious and focus on all the aspects, I am certain I would be able to hold the 7 ring consistently. A better shooter will be able to hold the 9 ring consistently. It is an accurate pistol, just not easy to shoot accurately.

I really regret selling my LP 10. Would have kept the practice up at least.
Anyway, the Siri Fort air gun range has commenced opps. Need to get there.
