UP gun dealers having tough time

Post by Lever Action » Fri Sep 28, 2007 12:07 pm

Dear All,
Yesterday went to a dealer in kanpur for getting kartoos , he told me there has been Little or no business since the change of govt. in UP because new licenses are not being issued to any body as there is inquiry going on for all the licenses issued during the last govt. , also there is shortage of .32 cartridge since last 2-3 months in kanpur and few of the dealers who have the stock are selling them for Rs 58 per cartridge , Is any body having the same problems in some other states.

Amazing .............. delhi dealers have been having low sales for the last few years ...........but still they sell most ammunition on factory prescribed rates. Thats a norm in Delhi may be I often see that they don"t ask for prices more than the MRP mentioned on the boxes of IOF ammo...

32 pistol cartridges are sold at 37.50 (including VAT) ...and you get a invoice for what all you buy...........there may be a shortage around but we get the required ammunition at the correct price..........what else can we ask for as a customer.

Well that is the problem in all the states as these gun shop owners are never satisfied with what they get. And they just
keep giving excuses to sell their cartridges at higher rates.

In fact 6-7 months back i used to get it for Rs. 28 per cartridge in kanpur but now the problem is most of the dealers in kanpur dont have the stock only few are having them, may be they are having larger quota from the factory and the reason they are giving is that pune factory from which they get cartridges is catering to some big military order that is why there is short supply of all the cartridges from the factory.

Go kanpur,, you will find many shop agents standing outside the factory ,offering every one for ammo & accesories who comes out from factory with a revolver.
They sell ammo ,holsters ,belts at really cheap price.best part of it is Quantity is no issue.last time i bought 100shots @rs28.
